A triptych of pictures that criticises through image the ambivalent discourse of government. For centuries, political movements and ideologies have defended the division between the Church and the State, between religious believes and political action. However, governments have taken advantage of the religiosity of the people to add in their discourse religious features and thus manipulate.

​

These pictured take three famous characters from Mexican history and mix them with evident sacred art. These three characters are constantly used in Mexican rhetoric as great patriotic figures and they are quoted as references of political social-driven propaganda. Next to them, there are quotes inspired on actual phrases that these characters said, but these are sarcastically modified to criticise the double standards of political rhetoric.

All in all, the quotes, the historical references and the religious imagery are a denounce of current affairs and political ways which are orchestrated for personal benefits of those who rule.
